Welcome to the Pennsylvania Organization of Mothers of Multiples Clubs (POMOMC)
POMOMC, formerly known as the Pennsylvania Mothers of Twins club, was founded in May, 1971, in Lebanon, PA and is a non-commercial, non-sectarian, and non-profit organization. POMOMC is comprised of 36 member clubs and approximately 1500 women in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. POMOMC’s purpose is to support, organize, and facilitate communication of the member clubs.
There are two annually held meetings each year for the administration of POMOMC; one in the fall and one in the spring. There is also an annual convention held one weekend each year in the spring, hosted by a member club.
The purpose of the Pennsylvania Organization Mothers of Multiples Club is to assist in further developing established clubs within the state of Pennsylvania and establishing new area clubs, as well as:

Broadening public understanding of the different aspects of multiple birth, it’s development and child rearing.

Facilitating the exchange of information between parents, educators, doctors, and others with a direct interest and appropriate experience with multiple births.

Focusing attention on solutions to those problems specifically relating to multiple births

Cooperating with and actively participating in research.

Increasing awareness of the individuality of each child.

Awarding scholarships according to the guidelines of the Doris and Lonnie Whitcomb Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Implementing its educational work by making available to the public information about multiple births.

Cooperating with the National Organization.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in this organization shall consist of local Pennsylvania clubs and other recognized clubs.
POMOMC is obligated to deem membership, upon application, to any club which meets the membership requirements.
Member Clubs shall:

Accept the By-Laws of the State Organization.

Schedule at least eight (8) club meetings per year.

Submit annual dues to the State Treasurer. The membership dues are due and payable by October 1st. Dues received after this date shall be assessed a $5.00 late fee. Clubs not in good standing will not be eligible for Convention or the Doris and Lonnie Whitcomb Scholarship consideration.

The annual dues shall be one dollar ($1.00) per capita, based upon the number of members at the end of the POMOMC fiscal year, May 31.
